The primary conference for professionals working in the Microsoft Integration Space is back in London from June 4 to 6, and our MVP Sandro Pereira is one of the guest speakers for the sixth year in a row. Following the last event in Seattle, DevScope joins Integrate once again as a Silver Sponsor.
Sandro will deliver a talk on June 5th at 16h00 titled “BizTalk Server: Lessons from the Road” in which he chronicles his experiences as an external BizTalk Server consultant. Among other topics, Sandro will address BizTalk migration strategy, content-based routing techniques, Mapping, JSON support, BizTalk administration tips, and extending BizTalk out-of-the-box capabilities.
INTEGRATE 2017 is the premier integration conference for anyone who is working in Microsoft Integration space. If you missed the chance to attend the London event this year – which also had our own Sandro Pereira as a speaker, for the fifth consecutive time – join us at INTEGRATE 2017 USA at the Microsoft Redmond Campus. This event has Scott Guthrie, Executive Vice President for the Cloud and Enterprise division at Microsoft as the keynote speaker and it will be a great opportunity for you to interact with the Microsoft Product groups and employees alongside with Microsoft Integration MVPs.
And this year for the first time, the USA Edition will count with the presence of Sandro has a speaker. His talk, “BizTalk Server Fast and Loud”, will address a hardcore BizTalk topic that will address the following question: How can you optimize/tuning your BizTalk environment for performance. Optimizing your BizTalk Server installation is not an easy thing to do because it affects several layers and skills. This topic is very well documented by the product group but the problem is that it is very extensive and complex. Sandro presentation will aim to guide you through the most important steps, operations or task you need to do in order to boost the performance of BizTalk that you can adjust or follow according to your needs because, depending on your infrastructure, this can be a straightforward operation or a very extensive and hard operation.
Our own Sandro Pereira is a guest speaker in the event Integrate 2017, the premier Microsoft Integration Conference for who is working in Microsoft Integration space.
This 3-day event, taking place in London, is going to covering technologies like On-premise, Cloud and Hybrid Integration, with the contribution of 29 speakers from Microsoft and the Integration community & key sessions from the Microsoft Product Group.
Our own Sandro Pereira session “BizTalk Server Fast and Loud” it will take place tomorrow morning, June 28th at 11h40m, and he is going to address the following question: How can I optimize/tuning my BizTalk environment for performance. Optimizing your BizTalk Server installation is not an easy thing to do because it affects several layers and skills. This topic is very well documented by the product group but the problem is that it is very extensive and complex. This presentation will aim to guide you through the most important steps, operations or task you need to do in order to boost the performance of BizTalk that you can adjust or follow according to your needs because, depending on your infrastructure, this can be a straightforward operation or a very extensive and hard operation. But I will try to keep it as simple as possible so everyone can understand and follow.
Microsoft’s Hybrid Integration Platform, which includes BizTalk Server, Azure Logic Apps, Azure API Management and Azure Service Bus, enables businesses in their digital transformation journey. You can now seamlessly connect applications, data and business processes across on-premises and the cloud using the hybrid integration platform.
During the MVP Global Summit 2016, and taking the opportunity of having most of the Integration MVPs gathered at the event, Microsoft Pro Integration team invited them to create short videos (10 minutes webcasts) at Microsoft Building 20, building that is the home of the “famous” Channel 9 studio, about Hybrid Integration, and our coworker Sandro Pereira was one of them. The result is this 8 minutes video on “Empowering Hybrid Integration” where you will learn how you can create powerful hybrid integration solutions using existing on-premises and cloud based solutions.
You can watch more sessions regarding Microsoft’s Hybrid Integration Platform on Channel9 here.

Microsoft has been recognizing Sandro Pereira’s work for quite some time and just announced the renewal of his MVP for the 7th consecutive time.
Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals, or MVPs, are technology experts who passionately share their knowledge with the community and Sandro was distinguished by his public contributions in the Integration (BizTalk) and Cloud (Microsoft Azure) space.
DevScope is very proud to have in it’s staff an exceptional professional, that started his journey in 2011 as BizTalk MVP and, since then, has continuously delivered presentations all over Europe about Enterprise Integration competencies (BizTalk Server, API Management, App Services, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, SharePoint Integration, PowerApps and Flow).
On December 2, Microsoft Portugal gathered around 350 attendees in Lisbon for Microsoft WebCamp Lisbon event. The event was designed for everyone who loves the Web and wants to know how to use the new Web platforms, tools and standards to bring awesome creations to life. The event was a huge success and, besides serving all attendees 510 waffles (Cloud waffles of course), it generated 25 new recordings that can be enjoyed online. This year’s event included speakers like Chris Heilmann and Jon Galloway and a total of 1170 minutes of technical content distributed by 3 Tracks (ASP.NET, Web Full Stack, Cloud & Tools).
In this session, Sandro gave an introduction to the new Azure Integration features: Logic Apps and also a glimpse about API Apps. These are still in preview-mode but he demonstrated how we can start using these new features, and explained how we can use Azure Logic Apps to automate business processes without using code. Other scenarios were discussed, including integrations with other Azure services like EventHubs and Stream Analytics to add Insights and Telemetry through Power BI. The full session recording can be found here:
All the sessions were recorded and are now available on Channel9.

There are 200 attendees expected from 19 countries and close to 100 companies represented at the event.
DevScope will be present with Sandro Pereira. This year Sandro is teaching BizTalk Mapping Patterns and also doing an introduction to the future cloud-based Windows Azure BizTalk Services Maps.
After many years of integration projects, we have found multiple ways to solve the same problems. Sandro prepared 14 different scenarios, each describing one set of problems (Pattern) and how to address these common message transformation challenges (Options, Implications and Best Practices).
– Which achieves the best performance? Is my message so big that I really need to worry about performance? Do I really need high performance?
– Can I easily maintain this map? It is easy to read and understand? What the estimated effort to change it, debug, finding and fixing problems?
– What are the expertise levels required to create and maintain this map approach? How long will it take to implement?
Sandro Pereira has been awarded again Microsoft Integration Most Valuable Professional (MVP). This will be his fourth consecutive year in the MVP program.
“With fewer than 5,000 awardees worldwide, Microsoft MVPs represent a highly select group of experts. MVPs share a deep commitment to community and a willingness to help others.
